The Chicago Public Schools Admitted Students Program at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign launched in Spring 2011.

The Chicago Public School system enrolls a very large number of culturally and socioeconomically diverse students. Positive experiences are a strong factor in successful matriculation at the university. However, many families and students attending CPS high schools are unable to visit the colleges and universities to which they have been admitted. In order to help students and families determine their "best fit university," Undergraduate Admissions started this program to bring the highlights of a campus admitted student program to a more accessible location.

All admitted Chicago Public School students are invited to the program to speak with current students, hear from a faculty member about the academic opportunities, and discuss housing options. The programs also helps students and families decipher a financial aid award letter.
