FAST Services: Adult Education & Career Transition Program
Website and/or Calendar Links
FAmily STart (FAST) Learning and Support Services empowers and strengthens Head Start families in Chicago. In the Adult Education and Career Transition program, we provide free classes and tutoring to parents interested in continuing their basic education, learning English, or obtaining their high school equivalency. We also support parents in making successful transitions to college programs, employment, and training opportunities. We strive to promote children’s success in school in part by helping parents’ achieve their educational and economic goals.
If you are a parent or family member of a child in an Early Head Start/Head Start program or a Chicago Housing Authority (CHA) resident, then we invite you to call one of our three locations to set up an appointment, determine your eligibility, and enroll in our English or Spanish High School Equivalency (HSE) or English As a Second Language (ESL) classes.
