The University of Illinois belongs to all the people of Illinois. True to its 150-year old land-grant tradition, it serves Illinois citizens from Chicago to Cairo, Quincy to Kankakee.
The University of Illinois Public Engagement Portal combines ALL public engagement opportunities offered by the three campuses — Urbana-Champaign, Chicago, and Springfield — as well as University Administration. This project seeks to maximize the visibility of as well as minimize the reporting workload of public engagement programs and events and was funded by University Academic Programs and Services.
This University-wide collaboration is based on the Public Engagement Portal (PEPortal), developed by the Office for Mathematics, Science, and Technology Education (MSTE) in the College of Education. That project was coordinated and funded by the Office of Public Engagement at Urbana-Champaign to create and maintain the most comprehensive source for information about public engagement programs, events, and resources offered by the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
